As we all move towards more sustainable business practices, Techtex are proud to announce the launch of a starch-based, renewable, sustainable spunbond nonwoven, manufactured from sugars extracted from corn starch.
This is manufactured into a synthetic material that is completely biodegradable in compost conditions. Microorganisms cause the material to undergo degradation and break down into carbon dioxide and water.
It is inherently ultra-violet resistant, moisture-wicking and hypoallergenic with low odour retention.
It is difficult to burn, generates very little smoke, has a shorter self-extinguish time than polyester or cotton and therefore if it does burn, will not pollute the environment.
We have samples available in 18g, 40g, 50g, 60g and 100g.
