Viscose is a versatile textile with a natural source. Similar in its make-up to cotton, viscose is moisture absorbent and breathable.
It has moderate dry strength and abrasion resistance, and is usually unaffected by acids, alkalis and bleaches, making it a relatively hardwearing member of the nonwovens family. As a cellulose-based fibre, viscose can burn, but the fabric can easily be treated with a flame retardant finish for extra safety.

Find out moreViscose finds its way into the industrial sector and can be used for many different types of liquid and swarf filtration.
One of the primary uses for viscose is as an excellent and affordable choice for gravity filtration processes. Techtex’s viscose filtration products are biodegradable, cost-effective and suited to holding large quantities of liquid. They are also resistant to coolant continuants, although customers should bear in mind that the fabric’s high absorbency means that liquid may be depleted over time.
